First, let’s remember that they call math a “universal language”. If so, then we must take into account that this “language” is communicating a message.
These past few days or weeks I’ve been trying to understand why “0” is included in the number system. Technically, 0, communicates the idea of “nothingness”. But, we know very well today that “nothingness” does not exist. Even the very air we can’t see has a weight and elements that science can detect today.
If “nothing” does not exist, then, why do we account for it? Because true math was corrupted.
When God created the earth, He gave them numbers for each day. This was the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 use of numbers for this planet. And, our beloved Sacred Text, the Bible, tells us them.
It tells us that the first day of the week well, was the 1st day, or what we would call Sunday. Then, Monday was the 2nd day of the week, or day 2. And so on until we get to Saturday, the 7th day of the week. There was no “day 0” just like there is no “year 0”. We only have 1 BCE (Before Christ Entered humanity) followed by 1 CE.
So, who corrupted our number system? Well, God created all things perfect and man interferes with His perfect creation. Let’s look at the message behind this simple modification.
In God’s number system, “nothingness” is not accounted for. God creates and continues to create. You can say that He only intended to deal with addition and multiplication. But, since sin entered the earth and corrupted it, we see that things can be taken away, or destroyed (subtraction).
And, we see that God divides evil from good (division). But, “nothingness” can and will never exist. Why? Because God always existed and those people who choose to follow Jesus will always exist from here on out.
0 communicates the idea of evolution. Before the universe was nothingness and then something existed. So, in math today, you start with 0 (nothingness), then you go to 1 (the universe). Btw, the universe is sciences “god”, next to “reason”.
But, in God’s number system, there was no 0 to begin with because God has always existed and will always exist. So, there is no need to ever account for “nothingness”. Furthermore, you may feel like your life is worth next to nothing but, if God has assigned each hair follicle a numerical value, He must care about you very much!
“But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.”
Matthew 10:30
