Day in and day out God tries to reach us. He tries to get us to listen to Him that we may receive life. John 10:10. Are we listening to Him? I ask myself the same question. Am I listening to God or am I shutting Him out?

Jesus Christ does not force any of us to listen. He simply gives us opportunities by reaching out with loving arms. Are you missing your opportunity? Am I missing it? We need to heed His loving call… He will not strive with us forever.

“And the LORD said, My [S]pirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

Gen 6:3

Will we procrastinate until it’s too late? That message was given to Noah. 120 years would be the limit for mankind and Noah preach that message for 120 years…

“And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;”

2Pe 2:5

You may think to yourself, “That was in Noah’s day and doesn’t apply to me.” But Jesus says,

“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”

 Luk 17:26-27

Are we getting close to the end of the world? Are we following this trend? Is time running out? It would seem that those in Noah’s day had no clue and that it will be repeated again. Choose life. If God has been reaching out to you…to do Bible study, to join a church or overcome some sin, why don’t you listen?

Let us all work towards a perfect love of God, so much so that we don’t need encouragement to read His Bible. So much so that we don’t need to hear the “bad news”. Let us focus on the good news of Christ. The Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world you and me.

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Rev 13:8
